These terms apply when you use Crown Chess, including this website, the game in your browser and the iPhone and Android apps (together, the service). Please read them carefully.

Acceptance of these terms

By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Use of the service

You may use the service for your own personal, non-commercial play. When you use it, you agree not to:

• Cheat, including using chess engines or other outside help in rated games.
• Harass other players or choose offensive display names.
• Disrupt, overload or try to gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Copy, scrape or resell any part of the service.

We may suspend or remove access for anyone who breaks these rules.

Accounts

You can play as a guest, or attach an email address to keep your games and rating across devices. You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your email secure. You can delete your account at any time from within the game.

Intellectual property

The Crown name, rules presentation, characters, artwork, software and website content belong to us or our licensors. These terms don't give you any rights to them beyond using the service as intended.

Ads

The mobile apps are free and supported by ads. How ads use your data is explained in the game's privacy policy.

Disclaimers

Crown is new, and its rules are still being playtested. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that it will always be available, error-free or that games, ratings or other data will never be lost.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms.
